Soundtex –
the sound of silence

Building aesthetics, acoustic performance, cost efficiency - important parameters in modern architecture for perforated ceilings, walls and furniture. The Soundtex acoustic nonwoven ensures optimum sound absorption.

Works excellently –
with maximum design freedom

Sound absorption in offices, airports, train stations and public buildings must meet high standards. Above all, the effective reduction of reverberation time is the most important key figure in room acoustics and contributes to better speech intelligibility. Soundtex is also used in perforated or slotted partition walls and furniture. Soundtex provides you with a thin acoustic fleece that offers a range of economic and ecological advantages over other solutions and opens up great architectural design possibilities.

  • Architecturally sophisticated

Extensive options for improving acoustic requirements in interior design.

  • Individually tailored

Available in a variety of colors, it can be offered in rolls or cut to size according to customer requirements.

  • Tested & safe to use

Soundtex has been tested and met all major international standards for acoustics and fire behavior.

  • Production & cost efficiency

Individually pre-configurable for automated production processes. Minimized storage and transportation costs due to ultra-thin, flat shape and low volume.

The challenge –
modern architecture paired
with high acoustic performance

In addition to good design, a spacious and modern interior architecture requires a pleasant quality of stay, to which optimal acoustics contribute, among other things. Architects and designers today expect a high degree of flexibility in the design of panel shapes. Ideally, sound-absorbing solutions should provide economic and ecological advantages that are not available with other products on the market.

Soundtex –
outstanding in function and design

Soundtex is a thin acoustic nonwoven that enables interior linings to absorb sound. It is made from cellulose and glass fibers and is very homogeneous in terms of weight and thickness. Soundtex is applied directly to suspended, perforated panels made of wood, metal or plasterboard.

High level sound absorption

The evaluation was carried out in accordance with ISO 11654 with a weighted sound absorption coefficient of αw = 0.75 (L) in sound absorption class C. The noise reduction coefficient was NRC = 0.80, the sound absorption average SAA = 0.81, evaluated according to ASTM C423.

  • Increases heat transfer

The extremely thin material (thickness only 0.2 mm) increases the thermal performance of metal ceilings with integrated heating and/or cooling systems and also offers the best flexibility for HVAC designs in buildings.

  • Reduces maintenance

The air permeability of Soundtex reduces the risk of condensation forming behind the panels as there is a constant exchange of air in the room. The panels can be easily removed for quick maintenance.

  • Reduces health risks

Soundtex fibers are firmly bonded together, eliminating the respiratory risks typically associated with fine, loosely bonded fibers. Less waste is generated when replacing the ceiling due to the low volume of the product.
