Tacnera® stands for a new technology era in silicone-coated foam dressings. Unlike classic silicone adhesive layers, Tacnera® is based on a highly developed system that intelligently combines polyurethane foam, proprietary coating technology, and a gentle silicone gel. The result is a completely new approach to the design of modern silicone dressings.

Revolutionary coating design

Compared to conventional silicone gel layers, Tacnera® is the result of years of development work. Its unique, patented wave-pattern coating opens up new possibilities for advanced silicone-coated foam dressings:

  • It enables targeted flexibility to adapt even to deeper wound structures.
  • It allows two different types of silicone to be used within one dressing – an innovation that creates new design freedom.

  • Gentle wound care and protection of sensitive wound edges

    The soft Tacnera® wound pad supports undisturbed healing at sensitive wound edges. During dressing changes, Tacnera® helps protect newly formed tissue thanks to its minimal adhesion properties. At the same time, compared to highly adhesive silicone dressings, Tacnera® sets a new standard for atraumatic wound care – without compromising on functionality.

  • High adaptability and secure fit

    The wave-pattern coating gives Tacnera® outstanding flexibility and conformability. The dressing fits precisely to the wound bed and remains reliably in place. This helps reduce the risk of exudate pooling and effectively limits ingrowth of granulation tissue.

  • Two silicones – one unique system

    Tacnera® overcomes the limitations of classic laminated silicone layers. For the first time, a strong silicone-based edge adhesion and an ultra-soft silicone wound contact zone are combined in one integrated design. This combination is unique on the market and enables next-generation dressing solutions.

  • Protection of the skin surrounding the wound

    Periwound skin plays a key role in the healing process and often reacts sensitively to aggressive adhesives. Tacnera® helps protect the skin through vertical absorption that reliably draws moisture away from the edge area, and through an ultra-soft silicone that enables gentle removal.

In high-quality foam dressings, adhesion is crucial, yet it is also one of the biggest challenges. While gentle silicones often do not adhere firmly enough, stronger silicones increase the risk of skin trauma. This classic adhesion–trauma balance can reduce clinical confidence and patient comfort.
