A revolutionary fabric for dust mite allergy sufferers
Evolon®
Anti-mite encasings with medical quality
Evolon® microfilament fabric provides optimum bedding protection against dust mite allergens and has been proven to meet the strictest standards. It is ideally suited for dust-mite-proof mattress, pillow, and comforter encasings. The tiny dust mite allergen particles are trapped beneath the Evolon® layer and cannot come into contact with allergy sufferers.
Certified by the European Centre for Allergy Research Foundation (ECARF), Evolon® microfilament fabric was the first anti-mite fabric in the world to receive this certification in 2008. Evolon® also offers 100% protection against mites and bed bugs.

Key Features
- Allergen-proof: The dense, compact structure of tightly entangled microfilaments provides excellent filtration of allergen particles.
- Breathable and moisture-regulating: The extremely fine microfilaments form millions of ‘microchannels’ through which air and water vapour can flow.
- Washable at up to 95 °C: Hard-wearing and durable
- No rustling, because the material is not coated
- Comfortable: Soft material and surface
- Chemical-free: No binders, solvents or biocide treatment
Key Benefits
Manufacturers who use Evolon® benefit from the exceptional product features of this innovative microfilament textile.
- Certified quality standard: Certified safety and tested quality for reliable products (ECARF, OEKO-TEX 100).
- Top ratings for products with Evolon®: In customer reviews, encasings made from Evolon® are among the top products.
- Reliable technology Evolon® forms a particularly dense and compact fibre structure thanks to its ultra-fine filaments. This creates a very efficient barrier against dust mite allergens, without chemical treatments or coating.

Evolon®
High material density with 6,600 km of filaments per square metre

High-tech meets allergy protection
Evolon® is based on an innovative microfilament technology invented by Freudenberg: extremely fine microfilaments, up to 200 times finer than a human hair, are bonded together using high-pressure water jets. The resulting fabric is very dense and compact, forming a physical barrier against tiny particles.
Product efficiency tested and confirmed by independent institutes
Evolon® has been awarded the European Centre for Allergy Research Foundation (ECARF) seal of quality.
Evolon® textiles are certified according to OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100, Product Class 1 (Annex 6), comply with the strictest limits and are therefore suitable for babies' skin.
In Germany, the cost of Evolon® protective covers can be reimbursed by health insurance companies (provided that all the necessary conditions are met).
